PRESS RELEASE

The Artful Home(R) Catalog and Website Coming to Life this November in NYC

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 22, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- The Guild, Inc., the leading source of artist-made home decor products and gifts, is launching The Artful Home Show in New York City's Puck Building, November 16 through 18. For the first time since its founding as an e-commerce site in 1998, the company will physically present the work of its artists in a public forum where customers will have an opportunity to experience the artwork in person, meet the artists, and purchase the work on site and through web kiosks.

The show will feature a stunning collection of artist-made furniture, jewelry, and home accessories by more than 300 of The Guild's most popular artists carefully selected from more than 10,000 works of art available through artfulhome.com.

Three leading designers -- interior designer Mary Douglas Drysdale, architect Christine Restaino, and artist Ellen Kochansky -- will create full-scale room environments that reflect their interpretation of the "artful home" concept. More than a dozen smaller vignettes will provide additional ideas for incorporating artwork into the home.

"It will be like walking into our catalog or website," Toni Sikes, Guild founder and CEO, said.

The Artful Home Show will also feature special events throughout the weekend to provide attendees with inspiration for creating their own artful homes. Highlights include a special signing of The Artful Home book by author Toni Sikes and several of the featured artists; an exhibition of one-of-a-kind brooches by well-known jewelry artists such as Eleanor Moty; and the first New York book signing of Craft in America, the companion book to the popular PBS series, by author Jo Lauria. A complete schedule is available at http://www.artfulhomeshow.com/events.
