Kirkland's Hires General Merchandising Manager
JACKSON, Tenn., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kirkland's, Inc. (NASDAQ:KIRK) today announced that Sharyn M. Hejcl has joined the Company as Vice President and General Merchandising Manager, effective January 7, 2007. Hejcl will be responsible for all merchandising for the Company and will report directly to Cathy David, Kirkland's President and Chief Operating Officer.
Hejcl was most recently Divisional Merchandising Manager, Home Decor and Tabletop of Bed, Bath and Beyond, a division with over $500 million in sales and a staff of 20. She also served as Director, Planning Home Decor at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Other home furnishings experience includes five years at JoAnn Stores as Director, Replenishment & Forecasting and Divisional Merchandising Manager, Craft Fabrics. She began her retail career at May Department Stores spending 13 years with increasing responsibilities in buying and serving as a Market Representative in the Decorative Housewares and Home Textile divisions.
