Innovation Philadelphia to Host the Region's First Creative Industries Career Fair
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 20, 2007, Innovation Philadelphia will host the Creative Industries Career Fair at the World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This unique event, the region's first of its kind, is designed to match businesses and organizations with talented, experienced creative professionals, with 3-5 years of experience, seeking to further their careers within the Greater Philadelphia Region.
Regional employers and recruiters will have the opportunity to meet creative professionals with experience in a wide range of fields, including: architecture, interior and industrial design, engineering, planning, marketing, graphic arts, software development, information technology, digital media, fashion design, music production, film and video production, product design, multimedia design, design and merchandising, photography and communications.
The Creative Industries Career Fair is one of Innovation Philadelphia's many initiatives to grow the region's creative economy. The purpose of the Fair is to not only help employers find experienced creative professionals, but to also help retain creative talent in the region. The Fair will attract more than 500 job seekers from the Greater Philadelphia Region.
Job seekers attending the Fair can also take advantage of free resume evaluations, courtesy of Career Pro Resume Center, a local employment consulting center with expertise in resume and job search strategies for creative people. Break-out space will also be available at the Fair for one-on-one interviews.
