7th District Congressman to Give Keynote Address on June 24

CHICAGO, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Academy of Design & Technology in Chicago announced today that Congressman Danny K. Davis will deliver the keynote address at the school's graduation ceremonies on June 24, 2006. Davis has represented the 7th District of Illinois in Congress since 1996. IADT-Chicago is in Davis's district, in the heart of the Chicago Loop.

A seasoned communicator and powerful speaker, Representative Davis currently serves on the Committee on Education and the Workforce; the Committee on Small Business; and the Committee on Government Reform. Davis has worked tirelessly in Congress for workforce and education initiatives. He is also active in community volunteer work, and was himself an educator and community organizer before embarking on his political career.

IADT-Chicago offers Associates and Bachelors degree programs in Fashion Design and Merchandising Management, Visual Communications, Interior Design, and Information Technology. The school offers a hands-on, interactive program combining skills training -- taught by professional faculty working in the fields of study -- with real-world experience. In small classroom settings and guided internships, students get the training they need to enter the job market, as well as the support services necessary to help them stay in school, graduate, and launch the career of their choosing.

Over 300 IADT students will graduate on June 24, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the Arie Crown Theater at McCormick Place, Chicago.
