Color expert Zara Stender will present two thought-provoking sessions at the International Window Covering EXPO, April 11 14, 2007 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The Business of Color, an exploration of how color can affect all aspects of business, is set for Wednesday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m. What Color is the Future, a study on the metamorphosis of trends, the difference between true trends and fads and how knowing the difference can impact your bottom line, is slated for Thursday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m.
Zara Stender, IDS, Allied ASID, is a California Certified Interior Designer. She is Past President of The Interior Design Society [IDS], Northern California Chapter [2002-2004]. An active member of the Color Marketing Group, she serves as Chairwoman for the Western Region 2007 and sits on the Advisory Board of STIR Magazine, the Sherwin-Williams publication for architects and designers. Zara is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Council for Interior Design Certification [CCIDC]. Her columns and articles are published in many local, national and international publications, and she often lectures on trends in color and interior design. The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show® is the oldest continuously operating international antiques show on the West Coast. The Show was established in 1981 as the major fundraising event for Enterprise for High School Students, a non-profit job referral and career development agency for San Francisco high school students that now serves over 2,000 students annually.
The Show features approximately seventy dealers from across the United States and Europe offering for sale an extraordinary range of fine antiques representing all styles and periods including American, English, Continental, and Asian furniture, porcelain, silver, rugs, glass, and fine art. The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show® is vetted in cooperation with the Antiques Dealers Association of California to ensure the highest quality of merchandise.
All proceeds from general admission, sale of the catalogue, and tickets from the Preview Party directly support Enterprise programs; however, Enterprise receives no part of dealer sales.
